ABOUT US
In Honor Of Our Fallen Warriors (IHOOFW Inc.) is a War Veterans Organization. This means all of us served during wartime. Many, but not all of our members went in harm’s way, but they served.
As a non-partisan, non-political, Chapter 501 c(4), tax-exempt, War Veterans Organization, contributions are tax deductible and we are incorporated as a Not-For-Profit in Georgia.
We neither support, oppose nor endorse any political party, philosophy or candidate. Instead, we represent all Americans who value freedom and individual liberty.
Our Fallen Warriors who went in harm’s way came from all walks of life. They had dreams for the future. Wives, husbands, children, parents, fiancés and friends anxiously awaited their safe return. But . . .well.. . some came home in a casket, some are buried in 25 cemeteries in foreign nations, some were buried at sea and thousands were swallowed up in the maelstrom of wars to be forever listed as “Missing.”.
The only measurable price of freedom is the lost lives of the men who went in harm’s way to protect or preserve it. Was it worth it for them to be mired, day after day, in the grime, filth and stench of war only to have an instant explosion, a bullet, towering flames or being mangled and maimed beyond repair hit the “delete” key on any dreams they had for the future and dash the hopes of those waiting at home?
Shortly after the fact, the people left behind and those who returned, the beneficiaries of their sacrifice, will shake their heads sadly and with some remorse, say, “Yes, it was worth it.”
As time goes on and people wallow in the freedom paid for by the blood of the dead and the sacrifices of those who returned, faces become a little hazy, names slip from memory.
“What was the name of that boy down the street who so proudly went to war but never made it home?”
“Gee, I don’t remember. What a pity. He was such a nice boy. What do you want for dinner?”
Once the names slip from memory they become statistics and statistics are easy to forget.
Our pledge is to honor them by bringing them up out of the obscurity of statistics, bring their names and memory back into view and to pay tribute to their memory by taking the steps necessary to preserve, protect and, where appropriate, possible and necessary, restore freedom and individual liberty for all citizens so as to ensure their sacrifice was not in vain..
